Chemistry student wins Honor Student of the Year

The RWC Honor Student of the Year award for 2008 goes to Guobin Jiang, who is majoring in Chemistry.

To be eligible for the Honor Student of the Year Award, students must have the highest GPA in their program and have completed at least 62 hours at RWC while carrying a minimum average of eight credit hours per quarter.

The RWC Scholarship and Honors Committee interviews each of the candidates and solicits letters from their teachers.

The nominees for this year's award included the following:

Elizabeth Macaluso (Allied Health), Zachary Van Slyke (Behavioral Science), Lorraine Ray (Biology), Stephanie Kovarsky (Business & Economics), Jessica Messmer (Dental Hygiene), Todd Uttley (Electronic Media Communication), Chelsea Tolson (History), Michele Bonham (Nursing), Donna Hollingsworth (Office Information Technology), April Reisinger (Radiation Therapy), and Diane Zdelar-Bush (Veterinary Technology).

The winner and all nominees are honored each year at a special awards luncheon.
