Scholarships provide nearly $150,000 to RWC students

With college tuition being slightly raised every academic year, it is no wonder how some students find themselves having trouble with finding the money to fund their education.

For 30 RWC students, their hard work has paid off, as they have been awarded scholarships by a variety of sponsors.

The scholarship recipients are Trisha Halderman, Krista Silz, Alice Tennenbaum, Maribeth Szwed, Geri Walsh, Jessica Hatton, Amber Wilson, Theresa Fischer, Jacqueline Kneipp, Gerald Livingston, Lynn Wandersee, Michael Noyes, Christine Presley, Amanda Duncil, Tara Schaefer, Laurie Mayfield, Josh Olson, Jennifer Brown, Ji Wei, Carrie McWhorter, Matthew Boehringer, Adam King, Camellia Noor, Mandalyn Fullmer, Charlene Monroe, Sarah Bleh, Garrett Reckelhoff, and Abigail Brown.

Sponsors of the scholarships include Nancy Stolzenberger, Dr. Peter Garvin, John D. and Marjorie E. Sipple, Herrmann, Elinor Willet, Lester and Velma Freytag, Agnes and William Sovak, Clara and Stephen Olenick, William Baughin, and Anna and Joseph Etges. In addition the Dean sponsors scholarships for Part Time, Full-Time, Summer, and Evening students.

During this academic year, Raymond Walters has awarded scholarships in a total amount of $147,182.
